Speaking to someone is usually the fastest way to start.

Our medical transfer desk is staffed 24 hours. You do not need complete information to make the first call, the current location of the patient and where they need to go is enough to begin.

Patient information is treated as sensitive. Medical detail and uploaded reports go only to the clinical and operations coordinators handling the case, are never placed in web addresses, and are never shared with advertising or analytics platforms.

What the Challenger is used for in medevac

The Challenger family is the long-range backbone of international air ambulance work. Its combination of long range and a wide, stand-up cabin allows it to fly intercontinental repatriations non-stop or with minimal stops, while giving the medical team room to work and carry additional equipment for complex or unstable patients.

Where a Learjet wins on speed over shorter sectors, the Challenger wins on reach and cabin space. It is the aircraft chosen when a patient must be brought home from far away, or when the clinical picture demands more capability in the air.

    Medical configuration and care

Configured as a flying ICU, the Challenger carries a full stretcher and loading system, medical oxygen, ventilator, infusion pumps, defibrillator and comprehensive monitoring, with space for an expanded medical team and family escort where appropriate. The wider cabin makes in-flight intervention and patient management easier on long sectors.

As with every Aviall Air Rescue mission, the aircraft sits inside a coordinated bedside-to-bedside chain: ground ambulances, hospital handovers, medical escorts, permits and customs are managed end to end.

    • ICU-equipped wide cabin, room for team and equipment
    • Long range, intercontinental repatriation with minimal stops
    • Medical crew, expanded team for complex cases
    • Best for, long-haul international repatriation

    Range and mission profile

The Challenger's long range makes it the default for international repatriation across the Asia-Pacific and beyond, reducing the number of stops a fragile patient must endure. For shorter, ultra-time-critical sectors a faster light jet may be preferred; the choice is always made against distance and the clinical picture.

Aviall's medical desk reviews each case with the treating team to match aircraft, cabin configuration and crew to the patient before committing.

When the Challenger is the right aircraft

Choose a Challenger air ambulance for long-haul international repatriation and for complex cases that need cabin space and additional equipment. For shorter, speed-driven evacuations, a Learjet is often the better fit.

Call our 24/7 medical desk with the clinical details and the route, and we will recommend the right aircraft and configuration.

    Medical transfer & repatriation desk

    Request a medical transfer

You do not need a complete clinical picture to contact us. Tell us where the patient is and where they need to go, and a coordinator will start assessing options, aircraft, clinical configuration, crewing, clearances and ground ambulance, while the rest of the information is still being gathered.

    Enough to start

    • Where the patient is now

City or country, and the facility type if you know it

    • Where they need to go

City, country, or receiving hospital if already arranged

    • Rough timing

Today, within 24 hours, or later this week

    • How they are travelling

Seated, wheelchair, stretcher, or intensive care, an estimate is fine

    Helpful, but can follow

    • A medical report, discharge summary or fit-to-fly assessment, uploaded securely
    • Treating team or transfer-desk contact, so our clinical coordinator can speak with them directly
    • Insurer, assistance company or funding arrangement, if one applies
    • Receiving hospital acceptance, where that is still being organised

Clinical acceptance and aircraft availability are confirmed after review by the clinical team and the receiving facility. Contacting us does not by itself confirm a flight, a crew or acceptance of the patient.

Or email medical reports and case detail to charters@aviall.com.au

Privacy: patient details and uploaded reports are handled as sensitive information, stored in restricted storage, and passed only to the coordinators and clinicians working the case. They are never written into web addresses, advertising platforms or analytics events.
