Resources-sector cargo into PNG ranges from urgent mining and processing-plant spares to genuine outsize project freight. PNG's terrain and limited road network mean that any serious medical incident at a mine, LNG or infrastructure site moves by air. Medevac work is fixed-wing, bed to bed, with an ICU-capable crew where the case needs one. Apron access and ambulance transfer at both ends are part of the job, not an extra. Aircraft is selected for the patient's clinical condition, the origin strip and the destination, light turboprops for highland pickups, mid-size jets onward to Port Moresby, Cairns or Brisbane, long-range jets for international repatriation.
