How heavy lift charter pricing works
Heavy lift charter pricing is built bottom-up against the actual mission. There is no rate card for outsize freighters because there is no standard outsize mission, the price is set by the aircraft type, total flight hours including positioning, fuel, crew duty, specialist ground handling and loading equipment at both ends, navigation and overflight permits, and the engineering work required to load and secure non-standard cargo.
Outsize and project cargo quotes take longer than standard freighter quotes because the engineering is real, load planning, centre-of-gravity calculation, runway and pavement analysis, ground equipment and rigging plans are completed before the price is committed. The result is a written, itemised quote where the cost drivers are visible.
